The poem is from the pen of a great sanskrit scholar of 17th century well known (hailing from Andhra PRadesh) in Sanskrit Literary Criticism. Because of his revolutionary thoughts against the orthodox scholars, he was patronized by the contemporary Mughal Emperor of Delhi and fell in love with his daughter or some other Muslim lady and later outcasted by the orthodox scholars. In his last days, lying on the banks of the Ganges, he was condemned by the his rival Appaya Dikshitha (Tamilnadu) and annoyed by this, he recited these verses at the end of which he was taken into the stream by the Ganges. This is the legend behind the creation of this poem. But there are other devotional poems also by him called Lahari-s or waves (of devotion). This story might have also been created by the orthodox rivals also. But there is no evidence either to deny or prove this. The poem is of high calibre.
With regards

RadhaSwrupa Jaya Kishori Ji Bhajans
India’s Rich Heritage comprising of the beautiful festive culturally enriched state of Rajasthan, the birth place of Bhakt Shiromani Meera Bai, a devotee of Lord Krishna. "Pujya Jaya KishoriJi" – A disciple, born in Brahmin family– blessed by Lord Krishna to “Pujya Radhe Shyam Ji Haritpal” and “Pujya Geeta Devi Haritpal” in her ancestral village of Rajasthan.
The love, stories, and compassionate teachings of Dadaji and Dadiji about Lord Krishna, developed extreme dedication and devotion towards Lord Krishna and developed a magnetic feeling to dedicate her life towards Bhakti of Radhe Krishna.
She being a keen learner of the teaching of "Bhagwad Gita" left worldy pleasures and materialistic mind-set at a tender age of five(5 years) to completely and dedicatedly evolve in the learning and preaching of the highest spiritual writings of Shri Shyam Charit Maanas, Shri Krishna Leela, Shri Rani Sati Dadi Charitrya, Nani Bairo Mayro.
She has been able to spread her teachings by events and programs to all communities and countries worldwide. Her most popular and impactful events has been preaching of "NaniBairoMayro" – more fully description by her, the devotion of Bhakt Narsingh Mehta, towards Lord Krishna, which compelled Lord Krishna to participate in NaniBairoMayro for his devotee.

Sub: Condemnation of the barbaric terror strikes in Dilsukhnagar Hyderabad -
Appeal for Succor to the affected, peace and Demand for Action
We the undersigned representatives of Civil Society are deeply concerned and disturbed by the terror attacks at Dilsukhnagar in the evening hours of 21st February 2013. We unequivocally condemn these ghastly terror attacks targeting innocent peace loving people of Hyderabad. This is a heinous crime against Humanity. These terror attacks point to a very well thought out strategy to foment communal disturbances in the city and also to expand the poison of communalism to other parts of the country and to divert attention from miserable crucial issues. Since time immemorial Hyderabad has been a strong foundation of peace and communal harmony; in such crises citizens of Hyderabad have applied their wisdom, shown restraint and maintained communal amity. We are still in the process of recuperating from many painful shocks and memories of the past. This is a moment of deep grief for all. We extend our sympathies to the bereaved families. We appeal political leaders to refrain naming one particular person, community or organisation and allow Investigation Agencies to do their work. We also appeal to the citizens of Hyderabad to stand united, come forward to help the victims philanthropically in cash, kind and particularly blood donation directly at the hospitals where injured are in need; make all efforts to assist the authorities and cooperate with the government in law and order to arrest and defeat the conspirators in their nefarious mission. We request the concerned authorities to immediately provide succor to the victims, to shed pre-conceived notions, unravel the conspiracy, expose the responsible elements; however high and mighty they may be, and prosecute them with immediate deterrent punishment to save secular fabric and peaceful atmosphere in society. Mother Teresa said: “If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other”.

DEVOTIONAL- JAGJIT SINGH - FULL COLLECTIONS:
Ghazal king Jagjit Singh dies in Mumbai hospital NDTV Correspondent Monday, October 10, 2011 (Mumbai) Tweet Print | A+ A- Renowned ghazal singer Jagjit Singh died this morning at the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai after he suffered a brain hemorrhage. Mr Singh was 70. He was admitted to hospital on September 23, hours before he was scheduled to perform at a concert in the city. Doctors kept him in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) till he died. Reports say he had been on life support for the last few days. Mr Singh is survived by his wife, Chitra. Jagjit Singh was born on February 8, 1941 in Sriganganagar, Rajasthan, to Amar Singh Dhiman, a government employee, and Bachan Kaur. He had four sisters and two brothers and was called Jeet by his family. He was raised as a Sikh by religion. His birth name was Jagmohan but his Sikh father rechristened him as Jagjit following the advice of his guru. It was Mr Singh's father, who first recognised his son's talent. He sent young Jagjit to learn the nuances of music under a blind teacher, Pandit Chhaganlal Sharma. He later trained under Ustad Jamal Khan of the Sainia Gharana for six-years and gained knowledge in Khayal, Thumri and Dhrupad forms. His debut album in 1976-The Unforgettable - did not make a hollow claim. Mr Singh made his mark with hits like Yeh zindagi kisi aur ki, mere naam ka koi aur hai, Patta-patta boota-boota haal hamaara jaane hai, Hontho se chhoo lo tum, Tum ko dekha, Hazaar baar ruke ham and hazaar baar chale, at a time when ghazals were rendered by powerhouses like Mehdi Hasan, Noor Jehan, Beghum Akhtar and Talat Mehmood. One of the most successful and loved artistes of his time, he has left behind a huge body of work in a career spanning five decades, including 80 albums. Among his most memorable numbers were Tum itna jo muskara rahe ho, Apni Marzi Se Kahan Apne Safar Ke Hum Hain and Pehle Har Cheez Thi Apni Magar Ab Lagta Hai Apne Hi Ghar Mein Kisi Doosre Ghar Ke Hum Hain. Critics often suggested he sacrificed technique for melody. It didn't matter to the thousands of fans that enabled the album to set sales records. Writer Khuswant Singh commented, "He sings better than Mehdi Hassan and looks better than Dilip Kumar." Mr Singh married Chitra Datta in 1970. She belonged to a musical family in Kolkata and had been married when she was very young to a man who ran a sound recording studio. Chitra was a popular jingle singer and her marriage had unravelled by the time she met Mr Singh. They first worked on jingles for ad films together. Then came Unforgettable. Through films like Saath Saath and director Mahesh Bhatt's debut, Arth, their popularity climaxed. The Singhs travelled the world for sold-out concerts. Perhaps their best work together was in the teleseries made by Gulzar on Mirza Ghalib. In 1990, their only child, Vivek, died in a road accident. Chitra gave up singing. Mr Singh cut back drastically on his albums and concerts, opting instead to lend his support to campaigns for children's causes. Man Jite Jagjit, containing Sikh devotional Gurbani, was the first album he recorded after his son's demise. The Padma Bhushan awardee is also the only composer and singer to have composed and recorded songs written by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in two albums, Nayi Disha (1999) and Samvedna (2002). Mr Singh was planning to team up with Gulzar again after the success of Mirza Ghalib for an album based on the letters and poems of the 18th century poet. Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar said that Singh’s death was a big loss for the music industry. “I knew him well. I hoped he would come out of the coma. But the God willed otherwise.” Stating that Jagjit brought ghazals into the mainstream, Lata said, “He worked very hard... sang from the heart. Listening to him, people got intoxicated.” Asha Bhosale said hearing Jagjit’s ghazals brought peace to the mind. “Listening to him was a soothing experience. If one wanted to get away from everyday stress, the best way was to play a Jagjit Singh record.” Asha described Sarakti Jaye Hai Rukh Se Nakab Ahista.. as her favourite Jagjit ghazal. “I feel sad for his wife Chitra. She lost a son earlier, and now husband. She is very lonely now,” Asha said. “Jagjit Singh’s death has caused an irreparable loss to the Hindi film and music industry,” said noted lyricist Javed Akhtar. He described Jagjit Singh as an extraordinary ghazal singer. “I first heard him when I attended an event at IIT Kanpur named ‘Music Night by Jagjit and Chitra’ while in school. He was an icon. There is nothing I can say to console his wife (Chitra). All I can say is that he will never be forgotten. I pray to god to give her the strength to recover from the loss,” classical vocalist Shubha Mudgal said. An emotional Usha Uttup recalled her time with Singh. “I can’t believe it. It was because of him that ordinary men could enjoy good Ghazal. We worked together in a jingle when I was just staring my career. “He is the person who introduced the 12 string guitar and the bass guitar in ghazal singing, in a way no one could. I spoke to him recently. What a human being. It is a great loss.” Prime Minister condoles In his condolence message, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said by “making ghazals accessible to everyone, he gave joy and pleasure to millions of music lovers in India and abroad....he was blessed with a golden voice." The Prime Minister said the ghazal maestro’s music legacy will continue to “enchant and entertain” the people. Keywords: Jagjit Singh, tribute
